This training provides strategies based on children’s literature that create a positive environment to support young children’s social and emotional development.

The objectives of this training are:

· To define social and emotional development.

· To explore ways to support social and emotional development of young children from birth.

· To demonstrate and describe ways to use literacy activities to support and enhance children’s social and emotional development.
